Peaches is a Mollucan Cockatoo.  He lived on the farm for years before I ever knew the place existed.  When I began work there when I was 15 years old Peaches was living in the parrot house as a "breeder".  He has never to my knowledge produced a chick but has always been a wonderful pet and escape artist.  He left the farm for several years and went to Huntsville, AL for a breeder bird.  When I purchased the farm. I decided I would track Peaches down and bring him back home.  He now lives at my house and has become pretty taken with my wife.  He lives in a large macaw size cage in our sunroom.  He has 6 chains and 11 padlocks on his cage to keep him inside when we aren't supervising him.  He still on occasion will find a bolt or nut that he can destroy and gets out.  He is approximately 40-50 years old.  He talks and is a wonderful companion.  He will live out the rest of his days with us. That is unless he outlives us!
